The Road Trip Begins

Today we left Cape Town for a 13-day road trip across South Africa. The first leg was to Knysna (pronounced Naysnuh) across the Western Cape province. The landscape was gorgeous.

Knysna is situated on a lagoon (Indian Ocean). We stayed at a very nice guest house, went for a twilight walk on the lagoon, and went to a pub for dinner. It was the best beer (locally brewed) that Ben had yet had in South Africa. Here is Sophia with the lagoon behind her at dusk.
