Sunday Journal

May 6, 2012 Journal

Things we want to remember about today:

Marin remembers skateboarding because he was boarding with other 6 year old dudes. One of them (Matthew) is one of our upstairs neighbors. The other boy (Luke) was visiting for a day. They asked Marin to play with them.

Brooke remembers going to the Rodebosch Church for the first time, feeling uncomfortable at first being the visitors, but then feeling very welcomed as numerous people introduced themselves and shared helpful and kind information.

Ben remembers watching the kids play on the beach in their swimsuits and build a large sand mound castle.

Sophia remembers playing in the water at the beach, in the waves. She liked building the castle mountain.

Marin also remembers Mommy running outside to run away but him catching her before she went after the interminable game of 10,000. (It's a parent joke)

Brooke remembers watching the kids play on the playground at the church. They seemed to feel at ease very quickly.

Sophia likes going to the grocery stores. (We went to Woolworth's today which is like Whole Foods.)

Ben also remembers going almost the entire day driving without accidentally turning on the windshield wipers and then turning them on 1/4 mile from our apartment.
